I am an experienced Orthopaedic practitioner physiotherapist and musculoskeletal sonographer and I specialise in guided injection therapies.

Initially trained at Edinburgh University in Developmental biology, i became a physiotherapist in 2002 and have subsequently completed several post graduate courses including a post graduate certificate in independent prescribing another post graduate certificate in musculoskeletal ultrasound and masters level courses for injection therapy.

I begun my PhD at The University of Exeter 2 years ago and I have 3 research goals –

  1. To describe a novel method of diagnosing pre osteoarthritis using ultrasound
  2. To discuss the hypothesis that osteoarthitis treatment should be specific to each patient
  3. Hyaluronan therapy is an effect treatment for osteoarthritis in a group of hyaluronan responders and should be routinely offered as part of their care

In my spare time I love traveling, park running and fair weather sailing!
