I am an experienced Orthopaedic practitioner physiotherapist and musculoskeletal sonographer and I specialise in guided injection therapies.
Initially trained at Edinburgh University in Developmental biology, i became a physiotherapist in 2002 and have subsequently completed several post graduate courses including a post graduate certificate in independent prescribing another post graduate certificate in musculoskeletal ultrasound and masters level courses for injection therapy.
I begun my PhD at The University of Exeter 2 years ago and I have 3 research goals –
- To describe a novel method of diagnosing pre osteoarthritis using ultrasound
- To discuss the hypothesis that osteoarthitis treatment should be specific to each patient
- Hyaluronan therapy is an effect treatment for osteoarthritis in a group of hyaluronan responders and should be routinely offered as part of their care
In my spare time I love traveling, park running and fair weather sailing!
